Illegal Voter Canvassing Activity

Illegal election activities during the 2024 Democratic Primary State Senate Race by Red Dawn Foster

Foster FB Posting

Red Dawn Foster once again is canvassing voters within 100-feet of an election voting center. This time she is less than 100-feet away from a polling center located in Manderson, South Dakota canvassing voters 45 minutes before the polls close. This photo was posted on her Facebook account on the day of the June 4, 2024, Democratic Primary Election in South Dakota.  This is a clear violation of South Dakota Codified Law §12-18-3 which is a Class 2 misdemeanor.

SDCL says “No person may, in any polling place or within or on any building in which a polling place is located or within one hundred feet from any entrance leading into a polling place, maintain a campaign office or public address system, or use any communication [emphasis added] or photographic device in a manner which repeatedly distracts, interrupts, or intimidates any voter or election worker, or display campaign posters, signs, or other campaign materials or by any like means solicit any votes for or against any person or political party or position on a question submitted or which may be submitted. No person may engage in any practice which interferes with the voter's free access to the polls or disrupts the administration of the polling place, or conduct any petition signature gathering, on the day of an election, within one hundred feet of a polling place.”

Red Dawn Foster wins her primary with only 73% of the Democrat and Independent vote. Note: She only congratulates Bruce Whalen who lost against his Republican Primary Challenger, but yet she fails to mention the winner by name in her Facebook post.

It is time for a change in District 27. Vote for Honesty, Integrity, and Transparency!
