Good evening District 27. I have been busy putting up signs across the district. I came across these billboards near the Rapid City Regional Airport and Downtown RC. I love them. They promote a culture of life in South Dakota.
As you know there are a handful of initiated measures, referred laws, and proposed amendments to the South Dakota State Constitution on the ballot in November. I will be voting "NO" on Amendment G. It's too extreme to abort a child in the 9th month of a pregnancy. Amendment G is far more dangerous than Roe v Wade because Amendment G does not allow the state to place any restrictions on when an abortion can occur. Don't be fooled by the language of the Amendment. It is intentionally written to confuse the voter to think that most people support abortion in the first trimester; however, the vague language actually allows one to abort a child up and to the moment of birth. The proposed amendment would:
1) Allow painful late-term abortions up until the moment of birth.
2) Endangers women's lives by dropping health and safety requirements for abortions.
3) Overturns common sense laws to protect women and girls from coerced abortions.
As it says, on the billboard near the airport, Male and Female, He created them (Gen 1:27). I am doing my part to preserve a culture of life in South Dakota. I am asking that you consider voting "NO" on Amendment G. The most dangerous place for a child to be in this post-modern world is within the womb of the mother. An unborn child does not have the same legal rights and protections as you and me. As it says on the two billboards in Rapid City “Real Men Love Babies.” God bless.
